Trust

POPIA, Trust & Data Security Policy

Bizconnexity works with South African business owners, so the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) sets the standard we hold ourselves to. This policy explains the safeguards behind every form, file and conversation you share with us.

Our commitment

Information you trust us with stays yours

We collect the minimum information needed to answer your enquiry and deliver the work you have asked for. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not pass your details to unrelated third parties for their own marketing.

Everything on this page applies to information submitted through this website, shared with our team over email or WhatsApp, and provided during projects such as registrations, branding, websites, printing and marketing.

Consent

Consent is recorded, not assumed

Every enquiry form on this site includes a required consent checkbox. When you submit a form, we store the exact consent wording shown to you along with your submission, so there is a clear record of what you agreed to and when.

Consent covers storing your details and contacting you about that enquiry. It does not sign you up to a marketing list. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing us, and we will delete your details unless we are legally required to keep a record.

Safeguards

Practical security controls

Locked-down storage

Enquiry records live in a managed database with row-level security. The public website has no read access to submissions at all; only approved internal accounts can view them.

Role-based access

Internal access is granted by role, not by convenience. Only team members with an admin or staff role can open the leads dashboard, and roles are stored separately from user profiles.

Encrypted transport

The site is served over HTTPS, so information you submit is encrypted in transit between your browser and our infrastructure.

Spam and abuse controls

Forms use honeypot fields, timing checks, a simple human check, rate limiting and duplicate detection, which keeps junk records out of the systems that hold real client data.

Data minimisation

Optional fields stay optional. We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not collect information passively beyond what you choose to send us.

Vendor discipline

We use reputable hosting, database and communication providers, and we share information with them only to the extent needed to operate the site and reply to you.

Retention

How long we keep information

Enquiry records are kept for as long as needed to respond, deliver the work and hold a reasonable business record of the engagement. Where a project creates statutory records, such as registration or tax documents, we keep them for the period the relevant law requires.

When information is no longer needed for those purposes, or when you ask us to remove it and no legal duty prevents that, we delete it.

Your rights

Access, correction, deletion and objection

Under POPIA you may ask what personal information we hold, request a copy, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, ask us to delete it where we have no lawful reason to keep it, and object to processing.

Send requests through https://pixel-perfect-view-787.lovable.app/contact and include the name and email address you used so we can find your record. We aim to acknowledge within two business days and resolve within a reasonable period.

If you believe we have not handled your information properly, you may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Incidents

If something goes wrong

If we become aware of a security compromise that affects your personal information, we will investigate immediately, contain the issue, and notify affected people and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.

This policy is reviewed whenever we change how the site collects or stores information, and the current version always appears on this page.
